The other day I received an email from someone asking how to tag their Facebook friends in status updates.
It is surprisingly easy.. yet not very widely used.
Here’s how.
Most people will update their Facebook status like so,
This status update appears as plain text,
Nothing unusual there.. just your run-of-the-mill status update.
If you want to tag a friend in a status update, just prepend their name with the ”@” symbol.
As you can see here, I have prepended my friend’s name with the @ symbol,
This person has now been tagged,
When you share your status update, your tagged friend’s name now appears as a hyperlink,
Child’s play.
Now get tagging!
