Share Files on LinkedIn with Box.net

Box.net is simple online collaboration tool.
Box.net makes it very easy for people to access, work with and share all their content wherever they are.
They offer a number of different services, including a free one.. where you can signup for one here.
Once you have signed up, create a folder and specify who can access it.. then click <Create Folder>,

To navigate to this new folder and start uploading documents to share, click on <Take me there>,

Click on Upload new files,

Click on <Add files>,

Once you have added the files you want to upload and share, click on <Upload>,

Your files have now been uploaded to Box.net and are ready to be shared,

Done! You have now setup your Box.net account and successfully uploaded files.
Step one is now complete..
Step two involves enabling Box.net on your LinkedIn account so that your documents can be shared with members of LinkedIn.
Add to LinkedIn
Login to your LinkedIn account and click on Applications,

Select the Box.net application,

Click <Add application>,

Box.net has now been integrated with your LinkedIn profile.. and the folder you created earlier is now displayed. This folder is currently private and only you can see it.
Click on select a folder to add a folder to your LinkedIn profile,

To add the folder that was created on Box.net (to be displayed on LinkedIn), click on <Existing>,

Select the folder your created earlier then click on <OK>,

This folder will now be displayed on your LinkedIn profile,

Now click on View My Profile,

Your files are now visible on your LinkedIn profile and can be downloaded by your contacts,

Now that your Box.net and LinkedIn accounts have been integrated, you can manage your files (upload, delete, etc) from either interface.
Just another great way to share your files and gain further exposure to your brand by tapping into members of the LinkedIn community!
