How to Place Facebook Chat in Firefox’s Sidebar

To place Facebook’s chat feature in Firefox’s sidebar you will firstly need to sign into your Facebook account,

Now go to Firefox’s toolbar and click on Bookmarks, then Organise Bookmarks,

Right-click on Bookmarks Toolbar Folder, then select New Bookmark,

In the Add Bookmark pop-up enter,

Name: Facebook Chat

Location: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php

Check: Load this bookmark in the sidebar

Click on <Add> button,

Now in Firefox click on View, Sidebar then Bookmarks,

All your bookmarks will be displayed in your sidebar.

Click on the Facebook Chat bookmark you have just created,

Facebook’s chat feature will now appear in your sidebar,

Done!

You still have the default option of Facebook chat being in the lower right hand corner still available if you want.
