Update your Facebook status with Twitter
Facebook, How To, Social Media, Twitter — By Matthew Tommasi on 1 May 2009 10:27 amUpdating your Facebook status with Twitter is easier than you thought.
Here’s how,
In Facebook type in Twitter in the search field,

Click on Applications,

Click on the Official Twitter application (ie Developer is Twitter),

Click on <Go to application>,

Click <Allow> to allow access,

Now enter your Twitter Username and Twitter password, then click <Login>,

Click <Allow Twitter to Update your Facebook status>,

Click <Allow Status Updates>,

All Done! Any Tweets you send from Twitter will automatically update your Facebook status.
Now if you want to edit any of these settings go to Settings > Application Settings,

The Twitter application will display, then click on Edit Settings,
![]()
Edit the settings as appropriate.
Test this out by logging into Twitter and doing a tweet,

Go back to your Facebook profile to verify your status has updated,

If you found this guide to be of any use feel free to follow me on Twitter.
Happy tweeting!

Do you think this is an effective way to release marekting material if your a business? If my eyes there would be a “double up” of information, ie same message over numerous media channels…almost spamming people. This may work for personal accounts but it doesn’t work for business trying to positively engage with a market place, WITHOUT spamming.
Hi Mark
Thanks for the comment. I haven't actually tried it since I wrote that post.
If you try it out and it doesn't work please let me know.
Cheers
Matt
I thought that Facebook as stopped this because of the settings
The best way to do this us to use Hootsuite to tweet.
Hootsuite has a setting to integrate with Ping.fm.
Ping.fm can then send your tweets to your Facebook page.

How to connect twitter status to facebook business fan page?
You can update your Facebook Fan Page via 3rd party online apps like: Hootsuite or Pluggio (which uses ping.fm)
Posterous is also a good tool for post ‘pushs’ including easy email solution. I like Ping.fm becuase a user can choose which social networks to push to on the fly since a one-size approach rarely works for business marketing.
Thanks for the comment
Hi Cam
