Adding Google Custom Search to your blog

Follow these steps to add Google Custom Search to your WordPress blog.

Firstly login to your Google Adsense account.

Click on the Adsense Setup tab,

Click on Adsense for Search,

Fill out the Search Type form as appropriate,

Choose your Search Box Options as appropriate,

Configure Search Results Style as appropriate.

Get the Search Code,

Copy the code,

Now login to your WordPress blog and go to Appearance > Editor,

Click on Search Form,

Before you do anything to this file, make sure you make a backup of it first!

Remove all the code from this file.

Then paste in the code from Google (from before), then click <Update File>,

Done! Your Google Custom Search will now appear on your site,
